About the Seven Principles...
Successful relationships are a result of intentional and proactive work by committed partners over the course of the relationship. Couples workshops and retreats are a great way to learn more about each other, have fun, and strengthen the relationship.
The Seven Principles are based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book—The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.
For over 40 years Dr. Gottman scientifically analyzed the habits of married couples and established a method of correcting the behaviors that put thousands of marriages at risk for failure. He helps couples understand the importance of friendship, focusing on the small day-to-day moments, and building trust.
Research shows that on average, couples wait six years from the first sign of problems before they seek help. Be proactive and learn what decades of research teach us about healthy relationships.
These educational classes are been offered across the US and internationally, and have strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples. They're specifically designed to help couples improve their friendship, learn powerful communication and conflict management skills, as well as create more meaning together.
The classes include lectures, demonstrations, videos, and private couples exercises. The activities are fun, insightful, and informative. There is no need to worry about sharing your personal problems in front of others...we don't do any group sharing at this workshop.
These classes are designed to strengthen your marriage or committed relationship. If you already have a strong relationship, this class will provide you with insights and tools to make it even better. If your relationship is distressed, this class will provide a road map for repair.
Studies show that the Seven Principles program improves relationship satisfaction among the majority of attendees at a fraction of the cost of traditional couples coaching and counseling.
